The California State University, Sacramento Cardiovascular Wellness Program is supported by the Foundation for Health through Knowledge and Action, a non-profit agency. The program is housed in Folsom Hall on the Sacramento State campus.
Comprehensive, interactive classes and small group sessions on a variety of topics related to cardiovascular health.
*Lectures and demonstrations are open to all.
Exercise sessions are offered 3 times per week and are supervised by emergency medical personnel, ACLS-certified nurses, and an exercise physiologist.
*All exercise sessions require physician referral and graded exercise test within the past 12 months. No ECG monitoring is done on site.
Consultations, classes, cooking demonstrations, and applied lessons.
Lectures and group activities, such as Tai Chi and yoga, to reduce daily stress.
Internships available for kinesiology, gerontology, physical therapy, psychology, nursing, and nutrition students.
